The Journal of the Telegraph was an official publication of the Western Union Telegraph Company. Published on the 20th of each month, it reported system and rate changes.

MARCONI  WIRELESS  TELEGRAPH  TO  INCOMING  AND  OUTGOING  STEAMSHIPS.

    On and after March 1, 1904, prepaid messages may be accepted for transmission, at "sender's risk," to the steamships named in the list below, by Marconi Wireless Telegraph via Sagaponack, or Babylon, N. Y. The rate for such messages will be $2.00 and 12, exclusive of address and signature, in addition to the ordinary rate to Sagaponack or Babylon.
    Messages should be addressed "S.S. (steamship's name) via Sagaponack, N. Y.," or "S.S. (steamship's name) via Babylon, N. Y."
    Sender should be informed that, if for any reason his message is not delivered on board the vessel to which it is addressed, the amount received for transmission, less land line tolls to Sagaponack or Babylon, N. Y., will be refunded.
    A list of the vessels at present equipped with the Marconi apparatus is given below; other vessels as equipped will be added to the list from time to time.
