MESSAGE  TO  CATALINA.

    ELLSWORTH, Me., Aug. 27.--The President to-night gave out the following dispatches received and sent by him:
Avalon, Catalina Island, Cal.    
President Roosevelt, White House:
    Catalina Island, California, heretofore isolated in the Pacific Ocean, sends greeting to her great American President on the occasion of her being put in communication with the entire world, brought about through the medium of the Pacific Wireless Telegraph, a purely American invention now in successful operation.
